Good try and a good homage to Harold Allen Ramis (1944–2014). He gets to be the main character as the dirt farmer.
Unfortunately, with a few exceptional references to the original “Ghostbusters” (1984), this movie has all the faults of today’s politically correct and demeaning display.
First, this must be a single mother, as a two-parent family is just not appropriate for the environment. And of course, the brats need to be smarter and wiser than their parents, or the story just will not work.
The heroine is a 12-year-old girl, hence the afternoon special remark.
Then, of course, we must throw in lots of gratuitous potty mouth. Of course, a reference to third base (nothing to do with baseball).
On the plus side, they added some improvements to the car and details to the equipment that make it look a tad used on purpose.
The voice-over commentary is better than the movie itself, as they try to explain why they worked hard to make this movie different and not just a sequel.
