Tiffany Drake, a bio-mechanical engineer, is ordered by her boss to attend an office party at a private apartment.

Tiffany suffers an attack from two suspects. She is pushed into and through an apartment bedroom window and falls two stories. Utility lines break her fall but discharge power in arcs to her body as it hits the truck below her. Tiffany suffers injuries to her head and goes into a coma. Doctors cannot detect any brain activity and she is put on life-support.

Hours after her fall, Tiffany's energy begins to appear as a Ghost But she feels as an out-of-body experience. She meets the detective, Dan O'Neill, who is investigating her accident as a homicide since she has no brain activity. He can can see her and hear her thoughts.

Tiffany tries to resolve the problem of her fall, who caused it, and involves her highly lassified Living Memory Project the two suspects who assaulted her are after.

In her present state, she is ghost energy But after a time, she becomes solid with all her senses enhanced She and Dan join up to persue her case and in doing so, she falls in love with Dan, but he must resolve the fact that she is a ghost Information gets to her that shows how she can eventually rejoin her body and wake up The two connect properly, as Dan has fallen for her as well
