Ghost Writers' Anonymous Book 2 Middle-grade Horror: My Dolly Wants to Play

By Rose Van De Kamp and Andrew Casey

When Ellie's single dad James brings home a porcelain doll from the landfill, she assumes it's just another rare collectible to add to her growing collection. The doll named Roxanne, is delicate, beautiful, and unnervingly flawless. But something about her feels wrong. There is a stillness in her grey, mirror-like eyes that seem too lifelike.

Then Strange things begin to happen.

Clara the treasured doll passed down from Ellie's late mother, keeps appearing in places she was never left. Whispered voices echo at night. Shadows move when no one is looking. Ellie's safe world slowly begins to unravel.

As Ellie digs into Roxanne's origins her search leads her to Lillac Hill Collectibles where someone there remembers Roxanne. Someone who tried to forget her.
