Confronted with several mysteries like the cold spot in the stairwell, mischievous dealings with missing items, a washing machine lid that would inexplicably raise, unexplainable voices, a cat seeming enjoying invisible attention plus several encounters with a child-like apparition that moved freely from room to room, they still decide to remain in the house.

Jeff and Maurine slowly accept the ghostly presence, always attempting to keep the children shielded, only to realize they too were captivated.
