Ghost of the Snows

Ghost of the Snows is a trans-Himalayan story, set in the cold desert regions of Ladakh, in the Pin Valley area which sits almost 14,000 feet above sea level. This is the land of the legendary and elusive big-cat- the magical Snow Leopard, and also a land of its lovers, like our hero Phunsok who will cross the limit of his own life to protect it, even on the day that is dedicated to his own well-being and longevity. For such is the Buddhist ideal and motto of loving kindness and compassion, which simple mountain folk of the Himalayan ranges withhold and embody in their lives.

In village Gye that sits atop a high plateau, the high drama of human- animal conflict which unfolds one celebratory night, makes young Phunsok and his filly Chamba cross the boundaries of normal existence and become the valley's wildlife vigilante pair.
