Feminist scholarship is flourishing in Canada today. A steady increase in teaching, research, and writing by feminist scholars over the past decade has raised the essential question of how such scholarship should be communicated and to whom.
⁃ Should information be diffused through specifically feminist or through mainstream channels?
⁃ What are the opportunities and barriers that help or hinder publication of feminist works?
⁃ What has been the impact of feminist scholarship on the various sectors of society?
Important and timely issues such as these were addressed at the 1987 conference organized by the Social Science Federation of Canada, the Canadian Research Institute for the Advancement of Women, and the Canadian Women's Studies Association.
