Getting It Together Gets Me Hooked - Couldn't Put It Down!!

Neil MacCarthy has put together something truly special here - not only is this book honest and humorous, it's something every teenager should get the chance to read. Wish I had something like this when I was going to school.Neil tackles life issue with a spiritual thread throughout all that he does. While MacCarthy is Catholic, you can be from any "spiritual" background to appreciate where he's coming from. The family anecdotes, personal struggles all sprinkled with real experiences make this a fantastic read - in fact it's one of the few books I read from start to finish in one night.For anyone who's young or "young at heart" you can appreciate the importance of spirituality in your own life. MacCarthy doesn't preach - he speaks from his own experience and throws it out to the reader. His 40 short stories are easy enough to put down and come back to time and again. Each story has a reflection and action along with it - kind of like a Chicken Soup for the Soul with an action plan. I really hope you'll take the time to pick this one up or share it with a friend. It's so rare when we find a young Author put something this refreshing together. I'm telling all my friends about "Getting it Together" - it'll get you thinking and acting, something that really inspired me personally.
