This study investigates the factors that restrict female from their basic right, i.e. getting higher education in Pukhtun society. The targeted area his unique socio-cultural background and their practices, for example patriarchy, prevalence of strict values and norms, their domestic responsibilities strict traditionalism, gender disparity, expensive education, early marriages, low budget of the government, parental discrimination, poor monitoring system, the unavailability of proper transportation, poverty, inferior status or position of females in society etc. have a strong influence on their lives, especially on getting higher education particularly impede the process of women empowerment at the macro level. The government should frame such policies at macro and micro level regarding higher education of female by increasing the educational budget were the order of the day along with to eliminate the negative stigmatization towards women getting higher studies by the help of different awareness seminars at community level were put forwarded some of the recommendations in the light of the present study.
