Marge Hayes watches as the fire truck and ambulance pull up in front of her next-door neighbor's yard. Nosey as she is, Marge goes over to see what's going on -- her neighbor is lying dead in his chair. Marge gives Detective Jack Farrell the skinny on the truly disgusting crime scene. Jack realizes Marge, once again, could be a great asset to solving the murder. Marge's life isn't going so swell. Her husband is having an affair, she's daydreaming about Jack, and her best friend surprised her with a lifestyle change. She still hasn't gotten her daughter's adoption papers and now her three year old baby needs surgery. When her neighbor's wife admits she thinks she may have killed her husband with a dented can of sauerkraut, Marge laughs, but it looks more and more like the woman actually did kill her husband. Marge is spending more and more time with Jack to get to the bottom of the murder and her husband doesn't like it -- but with so few suspects, it's difficult to find the evidence they need.
