Excellent book for reference, or for gerontology novices!

I read this book for a class, and keep it around as a reference. It doesn't get into very deep detail about the physiology of diseases, but has good basics on what each disease is. I have even recommended this book to friends with no gerontology/psychology/neuroscience background, because it isn't written in academic speak, but in lay terms.
