Excellent for high school and college students

I LOVE this dictionary. I stumbled upon this and was so glad that I did. I make my high school students purchase this dictionary because it is a great first dictionary for them. There are easy-to-read entries, I love the reference section in the center (and so do they... they write each other notes with the texting slang in German and make each other look it up). The maps are helpful, they like the cultural info and we even use the sample letters to help with other phrases, etc. With a great mini-unit on how to use one the best way, this dictionary gives the students a lot of power to learn independently. We use the Langenscheidt textbooks, but this is the best dictionary out there! I have also recommended that my department use the Spanish and French dictionaries from Collins.
