Editorial reviews

'A magical and immersive account that will undoubtedly be enjoyed by its young audience. Children would find much to absorb them, allowing reflection and understanding to continue in earnest at some distance past the final page. The Board was keen to comment on Sue's delightful writing style, and how this would work to deliver an enhanced appeal for children and their parents alike.' Austin Macauley publishers

'Georgie and the Magic Palm is a children's book by Sue Carver that tells, in a simple style, the story of a young girl named Georgie in her destined quest to save the land of Adriana with her pets. There are several positive aspects of the book. First, the book is written in a simple, understandable manner. Second, the author did a good job in the use of the characters. The use of animals and children as major characters is commendable. Third, the storyline is unique, and there is a reasonable use of suspense For example, I kept wondering what would likely happen after Count Mosca entered the Pool of Destiny, what creature he would transform into, and how Georgie would be able to defeat him, considering her circumstance. The book does not contain errors. This shows that the book was professionally edited. I rate the book 4 out of 4 stars. It was a fantastic read .As stated above, this is a children's book, and thus, I recommend it to children interested in magic and the supernatural' Chinemezu Okafor, editorial reviewer for the OnlineBookClub.org
