George Hardin (1756-1854) was a Revolutionary soldier. He was not famous, nor did he perform outstanding deeds. He was a man of his time, and he responded to the call of the American patriots to fight the British. He was a hatter by trade and he worked and raised a family of eight known children. Circa 1830, he left Virginia and moved to Missouri with his wife and children. One son stayed behind in Virginia. He died at the ripe old age of 98, a very respectable age for the time period.
