The foreign trade turnover of goods and services of the Republic of Belarus in 2025 grew by four and a half percent and exceeded 105 billion dollars. At the same time, Belarusian exports of goods and services last year amounted to more than 51 billion dollars. At the February (2026) meeting of the Belarusian head of state with the government, the priority tasks of the Belarusian economy were outlined, which, among other things, concerned exports. The task for 2026 is to ensure the fulfillment of this strategic indicator by 3.7 percent compared to 2025. The basis for solving this task is the diversification of supplies to the markets of the far arc countries and the Commonwealth of Independent States. Personal tasks have been assigned to those responsible for international economic cooperation: from increasing supplies to creating assembly plants. Strategic tasks focused on economic results have also been defined. To encourage Belarusian exporters to search for new markets, the amount of financial support will now be carried out according to the principle: the further the market and the more complex the product, the greater the support from the budget. How will these measures affect the fulfillment of the set tasks? This work is about that.
