Dark history, intrigue and tangled relationships all found in an old mining town.

Geode is a captivating novel set in the town of Umbra River, which is an old mining town in California with some dark and unsavory history. The town is depicted with such detail it almost becomes a character itself. The author’s descriptive writing makes readers feel as though they are walking alongside the characters, experiencing the town's charm and woodland landscape firsthand. Intertwined are the female characters and towns people who meet at the nucleus of it all, the Geode Bookstore and Café. The author does a great job of depicting the old stories, history and friendships that one might find in an old mining town. Great read!
