This was a great book. I say "was" because it is now quite outdated and as such, cannot be used as a completely reliable and comprehensive source of information. However, the text clearly stands out has having been the best genetics review book available on the market. Oddly enough, neither Saunders nor LWW (the two major medical book publishers) have come out with an excellent Genetics review text for medical students / USMLE preparation. There is High-Yield Genetics (High-Yield Series) which contains largely molecular biology and also USMLE Road Map: Genetics (USMLE Road Map) which focuses on the same. However, these two books are lacking compared to the standard set by this older review text. I can only hope that the publishers, LWW, decide to bring this book back with a current edition into the NMS series-- its sorely needed! For those of you looking for a good alternative to the above texts, consider checking out Elsevier's Integrated Genetics: With STUDENT CONSULT Online Access (Elsevier's Integrated). While it isn't arranged in outlined/bulletpoint format, it is filled with just the right information and decent illustrations.
Found the book great!

Being an IMG who graduated a few years ago, I did not have a very good grounding in Genetics. I found that the subject was tested quite a bit on the USMLE and to prepare myself for the test, I used this book and found that this book made the subject both interesting and gave a lot of detail too.
