In the beginning, there was God Before the mountains rose, before the oceans roared, and before the stars filled the heavens, God existed. With His mighty Word, He created the heavens and the earth. He commanded light to shine, separated the waters, formed the dry land, and filled the world with plants, animals, and living creatures. Then God created Adam and Eve, the first man and woman, in His own image and placed them in the beautiful Garden of Eden.
But trouble entered paradise Satan, disguised as a serpent, tempted Eve to disobey God. Adam and Eve sinned, and everything changed. Sin brought suffering, sorrow, and death into the world. Yet even then, God promised that one day a Savior would defeat the serpent.
As the generations passed, wickedness spread across the earth. But one man, Noah, found grace in the eyes of the Lord. God commanded Noah to build an enormous ark. When the great Flood came, Noah, his family, and the animals aboard the ark were saved. Afterward, God placed a rainbow in the sky as a sign of His covenant.
Years later, people tried to build a mighty tower reaching toward heaven. God confused their languages at Babel and scattered them across the earth.
Then an incredible adventure began God called a man named Abraham to leave his homeland and follow Him into an unknown country. God promised Abraham a land, countless descendants, and blessings for all nations through his family. Abraham believed God, and his son Isaac was born just as God had promised.
Isaac became the father of Jacob and Esau. Jacob later received the name Israel, and his twelve sons became the fathers of the twelve tribes of Israel.
But the adventure was far from over Jacob's son Joseph was betrayed by his jealous brothers, thrown into a pit, and sold into slavery in Egypt. Although Joseph suffered terrible hardships and imprisonment, God never abandoned him. Through God's wisdom, Joseph rose from prisoner to ruler under Pharaoh and saved countless lives during a terrible famine.
When Joseph finally met his brothers again, he chose forgiveness instead of revenge. What his brothers had intended for evil, God had turned into good
