Secular scientists and Biblical theologians find much difficulty in reaching agreement on many issues. The secularist seeks to explain the natural world as the result of pure science without any influence of supernatural involvement. Consequently the notion of God being the creator is usually put aside or discarded and the Bible is not seen as a credible scholarly reference book. On the other hand, students of the Bible who value the book as an authoritative reference, have no problem embracing its historical, spiritual, and supernatural claims. The gap between these two world views is enormous A particular disagreement is the origin of man and the age of the earth. World views of both groups are generally vastly different. Occasionally, there is a revelation in the scientific world that confirms truth, though there are some in both groups who attempt to straddle the gap by making allowances that some of the Bible may be lacking in actual fact and is more allegorical or mythical in nature. that the Bible has held for millennia. This is particularly true with the Biblical record of Old Testament historical events. This book challenges the notion of a young earth as calculated by Bishop Ussher in the mid 1600s by looking at the real possibility that children were born to Adam and Eve prior to their fall into sin. The recent archeological discoveries of civilizations up to 20,000 BCE is a beginning point for reconciliation of modern science with a new view of the Biblical narrative of creation. A detailed analysis of the first seven chapters of Genesis is the basis of the thesis.
