The book emphasis is on the relevance and authority of the book of Genesis and how compromise on Genesis has opened a dangerous door regarding how the culture and church view biblical authority This description may be from another edition of this product.
The book is a mini-sequel to Ken Ham's "The Lie: Evolution" & covers much of the same exact material his DVDs cover. This book was great for what it was meant to be regardless of whether one agrees or disagrees with Ken Ham's position. Of course, he had to oversimplify things for the sake of keeping it brief. However, this oversimplification doesn't mean that his basic points were wrong. If one was expecting a serious & comprehensive defense of Creationism, sociological study of the effects of evolution on society, or systematic rebuttal of evolution within 80 pages then this book will disappoint. Ultimately, Ken Ham is right that evolution & the Bible are incompatable. Any attempts to reconcile the two are intellectually bankrupt and/or dishonest. If evolution is right then the Bible is wrong. If the Bible is right then evolution is wrong. The two can't be reconciled. A great book to read that covers this topic from an opposing perspective is "Atheist Universe" by David Mills. He was a former young earth Creationist/fundamentalist Christian & makes it very clear that there is no reconciliation between evolution & the Bible. Unfortunately, intellectual integrity & honest scholarship takes a distant second seat to adhering to a false peace & political correctness on this topic among many others.

(Quote) Most children are taught what to think, rather than how to think. They should be taught that their thinking is based on presuppositions.(End Quote)(Ham p.29-30) Mr. Ham writes profound truths in an easy to understand fashion. Great for high school students!
