Genesis 1 - 11 A Window Into the Past: A 365 Day Devotional Commentary

This book is a commentary of the first natural division of the Book of Genesis, Chapters 1 through 11...from the creation of the world to God's covenant with Abraham, the father of the Hebrew people. I've attempted to relate in as simple and understandable terms as possible the greatest story ever told and certainly one of the most fascinating! I want to share the result of my intensive investigations into the creation accounts of Genesis, chapters 1 and 2, the fascinating story of Noah's Flood and the catastrophic events that led to it...to the call of Abraham in Chapter 11.I've arranged the study/commentary into a daily devotional type format that will complete at the end of Chapter 11 on day 365 of any calendar year! Not only can you begin the study on any day of the week and complete the entire study in 365 lessons, (that take on an average of 90 seconds to read), but each week the studies are broken up on the 6th day by an encouraging, faith-building devotional that I've written and compiled from my Facebook blogs over the last several years.From the creation of the world, the fall of Adam and Eve, fallen angels, the Nephilim and Noah's flood, to God's covenant with Abraham and His chosen people...this book is a MUST READ for anyone interested in where we came from as a people and where we're heading according to the ancient prophecies! Not only will this commentary/devotional answer such questions as "Were Adam and Eve really the first persons on earth? and where did Cain get his wife? But also, did fallen angels really come to earth and corrupt almost every living thing and bring about gigantic human mutants and fantastic beasts that resembled ancient mythological creatures? And was every living thing that was not on the Ark destroyed or did some life forms survive the catastrophic flood - Where did the dove get the olive branch? Many good, scholarly commentaries have been written on the Book of Genesis but few consult the ancient non-canonical books of Enoch, Jubilee and Jasher as supplements to the biblical account! These wonderful books not only fill in the blanks that Moses was not told to record, but they, when synchronized with the Biblical account, paint a picture of unprecedented sin, degradation and corruption that this world has never seen! 'The Days of Noah' which caused God to destroy the earth with a catastrophic flood and a 'day' in which our Lord prophesied would return again in some form before His Second Coming! Utilizing these 'once canonical', historical documents that authenticate and give weight to the Bible's narrative, we'll see that the truth may really be stranger than fiction! This Devotional/Commentary will reveal many interesting, perhaps even unbelievable facts about the pre-flood world that you have never heard of before but are authenticated many times by the Bible and other historical accounts that have been overlooked, sometimes intentionally! Many of the daily studies are divided into several 'continued' studies. I did this so that none of the substantial and important material of each verse or topic would have to be left out simply to have a 'complete' stand-alone lesson each day. Remember, this is a verse by verse commentary/devotional guide and as such, adequate time must be spent on the commentary portion of each verse, whether that can be accomplished in one lesson or in several.This book really is a labor of love, presented with a solemn prayer, that those who read and study its contents are both enlightened, encouraged and most of all brought into a more dynamic and intimately closer relationship with our awesome Creator!
