I remembered in medical school I was asked what is the plural of uterus? Is it Uteruses or Uteri or are both correct. What is the plural of Hepatitis? For examples: Some singular medical nouns that end with "us" are pluralized by dropping the endings and adding "i". Example: uterus ends with "us"- to form the plural, drop the "us" and add "i". What about adjectives. In the English Language, one of the rules to form adjectives is some adjectives are formed from nouns using the suffixes: -Y, -AL, -IC, -LY, -ANT, -ATE, -FUL, -IVE, -OUS, -ABLE, -IATIC, ED, Etc. However, medical nouns do not follow the same rules as English. We don't say Arm plexus but Brachial plexus. General medicine Word Games also contains rules to help medical students, doctors and nurses correctly spelled commonly misspelled word. Lastly, General medicine word games is fun-filled, educational and entertaining for children, premed student, and can be used as a reference book. General Medicine Word Games is for individuals who aspire to pursue medicine as a career path, medical students, doctors and nurses. In the field of medicine, the rules for forming plural medical nouns are not as clear cut as the rules used in the English Language. Medical words need it own rules.
