The final research objective is to prove whether a relationship exists between the directive and the companies' behavior, or not. If a relationship exists, what are its characteristics? First, the theoretic framework is described, which is mainly defined by the two legal documents: the Renewable Energies Directive 2009/28/EC and the Plan de Energ?as Renovables 2011-2020 (Renewable Energies Plan 2011-2020). In continuation, the possible effects on each company are analyzed based on corporate websites, annual reports, and publications of the Spanish electricity sector's main agents. Moreover, evidence for possible effects is verified by independent sources such as renewable energies sector reports, press articles, and other recent literature on this topic. El presente trabajo analiza, a nivel empresarial, los posibles efectos de la Directiva de Energ?as Renovables 2009/28/CE tanto en las estrategias publicadas como en las actuaciones ejecutadas por las empresas productoras de energ?a el?ctrica en el ?rea de la generaci?n de electricidad a partir de fuentes renovables en Espa?a. El objetivo final de la investigaci?n es comprobar si hay una relaci?n entre la directiva y el comportamiento de estas empresas; en caso afirmativo qu? aspecto tiene?; o si por el contrario no existe nexo alguno.
