Gene Technology is a non-fiction book about genetics. It begins with the history and general background of genetic research, and then looks at present day issues, such as society's reaction to advancing technology. It is full of important facts and useful information, and is especially helpful if you are looking for easy, understandable text on genetics. Unlike some books, it does not use huge, confusing words and terms. For me, Gene Technology was a very availing resource when I needed to quickly acquire general information on genetics for an essay. This book had everything I needed, from who came up with the concept of inheritance to the views and reactions of society and scientists. I began with the intent of just scanning it for certain facts, but became intrigued and ended up reading the entire book. Instead of boring you like a text book, it is written in a way that makes learning about genetics fun and interesting. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who needs entertaining and easy to get information on genetics, as well as to people who simply have an interest in this subject.
