Great book for learning about jewelry

I bought the 1988 edition of this book recently and despite being 37 years old here in 2025, it's still loaded with pertinent and still relevant facts about jewelry. Although this book is geared towards the professional learning the appraisal techniques of jewelry, watches, and other related items, it is full of useful and interesting information for someone wanting to learn about how to look at and value their own items and/or to be more confident in reselling these kinds of vintage items.
