Lap's pursuit of formal perfection formed the heart of his artistic practice and his unsurpassed craft (objects that failed to live up to his stringent requirements were summarily smashed).

Erik and Petra Hesmerg spent years traveling the world to document Lap's colorful, serene works in private and public collections.
