Gate Street is renowned for the number and variety of gates found among the neighborhood. When the Mayor seeks an historic grant for the street, he calls on local historian Alden Everett to prove that at least ten gates were designed by the famous architect, Venerable Hart. With time of the essence, the Mayor determines that Alden should work together with college history professor, Dr. Natalie Pinion. With different backgrounds, motives, and approaches to the study of history, Alden and Natalie must find common ground through the course of one week to find the evidence they need for the gates - and may just discover some kind of common ground between themselves, as well.
