Addiction lays somewhere between the pearly gates of Heaven and the wrought-iron gate to hell. The moment you leave this world your soul is transferred by bus to the Welcome Center just outside the gates of Heaven. Once there, you must wait for the Committee to review your past life. Saint Peter and his new right hand man have a plan to slow down the ever increasing number of early arrivals. These untimely souls come to judgment by way of violence, drug overdoses, and many other unnatural causes of death. The plan includes concealing a group of tough guy spirits. Their mission: return to earth and fight fire with fire. If they succeed there is a small chance they may receive clemency and a free pass into Heaven. Charlie "Cup of Coffee" has died. Or did he? He must reinvent himself in the afterlife. Willie, his no-nonsense guardian angel informs him that he needs his help. Charlie has been chosen to lead the team of reformed criminals. Their mission is to assist others who are in trouble before it is too late. Whether they know it or not, they're all connected. Even gangsters can learn to control their impulses when given enough incentive. There are, of course, exceptions to the rule.
