Kay, a young, curious girl, desires to know more about her late grandmother, Gammie Mae. A visit from her great-aunt Trish and Uncle Alan brings a special gift from Gammie Mae. To her surprise, it is a box of purple azalea seeds and handwritten letters filled with love and Christian faith. With her mother's help, they plant her azalea seeds in the backyard.
