The Aleppan Mamluk Emir Fahr ad-Din Abu 'Amr 'Ugman b. Ugulbak was the most powerful and influential member of his family. He left his mark on the place of his birth through his social and religious commitments. The buildings erected by him and his daughter Sitt Halab enhance the city of Aleppo until the present day. He demonstrated his strength to the Mamluk sultans in Cairo and was not always loyal. There are two major sources of information about him. The first is his biography, the second is "Gami'al-mustanadat," the court register, which contains copies of documents most of which are attributed to him. This volume includes the second part of the court register, which comprises five purchase agreements and a Waqf document that is extraordinary on account of its size.
