Medical student Regina David is infatuated with Akanimo Asutan, a scholarship recipient who studies economics. Both students at the University of Adiama, Regina promises to marry Akanimo, and he believes his destiny holds success and happiness. But when a sexy doctor enters their lives, Regina makes a choice that will change them forever.

Dr. Nyong, an embittered surgeon from war-torn Liberia, escapes home to Nigeria. To rehabilitate him, the University of Adiama employs him as a lecturer in the medical school.
