Cognitorisk contains the essays The Birth Pains of Comet Chicxulub, The Last Tour, Art as HR, The Cure, and Making a Zero-Dollar Film. It contains the short stories Look in Her Eyes, Mommy Is Not Mommy, Upon Temple Steppe, One Twenty-Third, Helios 10/27/1962, Kill Your Son, To Sing to the Love of Danger, Encounter on Majestic 611, Now That the Party's Over, and Brother.

This is the second edition of this release. The only change from the first edition is the removal of one essay at the request of the author.
