Economic Cycle:
The reason human societies keep cycling between prosperity and scarcity is because human nature has always been based on small tribal groups fighting for their survival. This is the legacy of humanity, and it hasn't changed. Prosperity is more about giving freely and distributing widely. Non-prosperity is more of the function of holding resources close. While groups can prosper by having resources, humanity, as a whole, does not grow. And that causes imbalance, rectified by violence, starvation, and disease until the balance is restored. Society will only break free from the cycles once we evolve to a higher understanding.
