I checked this book out of the library several years ago and have been looking for it ever since then. I am thrilled to have found it. We love it!

a classic from my childhood and now my child's childhood!

I can remember reading this book over and over and over again when I was a beginning reader 25 years ago! I loved the repetition/rythym of the words and the silly illustrations. It is great for a new reader to try on his/her own and wonderful to hear being read as well. This is a must for my son's library. I am so glad I was able to find it, as my old copy is long gone.
