Funny Tales is a collection of five humorous stories for children. The first story is The Mischievous Monkey and the Magic Mango, in which Banjo the monkey becomes invisible after eating a magic mango and has to find a way to become visible again. In Bongo the Talking Monkey, Bongo gains the ability to speak like a human after eating a mysterious fruit and learns to use his newfound power wisely. Whiskers the Mischievous Cat plays a trick on his animal friends, and they teach him a lesson by playing a prank on him. In Bongo the Wise Monkey, Bongo disguises himself as a sage to prank his friend, the wise old owl Hootie. Lastly, in Puddles the Mischievous Kitten, Puddles hides her owner's school backpack in the garden, and a family of rabbits mistakes it for a burrow. Puddles learn to speak the Rabbit language with the help of her friend, Hoots the owl, to retrieve the backpack.
