My nephew (12mos) loves this book. He gets so excited by the music on the last page. The book has just enough text to keep the book moving, neat textures on the different dragons, and a really cute song when you open the last page. The only thing that caught us a couple times was that the sensor on the last page is a light sensor, so if you think the battery is dead/dying, put the book near a light and it may be okay!
Another fast-favorite of my 9 month old.

These are large sized board books with bright pictures. My son loves touching the different textures and loves sitting with the book in his lap and turning the pages back and forth. The musical and lights that flash for the king dragon at the end delight him everytime he sees them. In fact many times he will crawl right over to this book and spend a few minutes opening and shutting the book to the king dragon page. A quick update. At 15 months this is still my sons favorite book. We try to rotate his books and no matter where we put this one he always digs it out to "read". A good counterpart to this book is Charlie Monkey; same type of book but it goes through zoo animals. [...]

My [...] granddaughter loves the "Charlie Monkey" book in this series, so we hurried to buy her the rest of the books by Priddy. The Dragon book is simplistic but entertaining, and she loves what it offers at her stage of development. Thanks to Mr. Priddy for his hands-on, tactile, audible edutainment.
