Serious Educational Research

"Fundamentals of Educational Research" (2nd ed) is the book to buy if you are seriously interested in researching educational issues. It is short and very easy to read and understand. These are the reasons why this book is great for graduate students who must undergo a research project and don't have much time. The procedure is done in a non-technical way that will guide the reader through. The book covers all types of research, how to collect data, how to construct a questionnaire, how to set up inquiry protocols, types of interviews and how to have a successful one and a chapter on focus groups. Gary Anderson with Nancy Arsenault have also added a fantastic glossary with necessary terms we need to use in order to conduct a research in today's world.

Down to earth and well structured

Few authors have the ability to merge practical research hints and maintain the professional tone in the text. Andersons' work is exceptional, not just for educational purposes but for any kind of systematic research.
