Fundamental Concepts of Electrical Engineering

Electrical Engineering (EE) is a branch of engineering that deals with the study, design, and application of equipment, devices, and systems that use electricity, electronics, and electromagnetism.

It includes everything from tiny microchips to large power networks, playing a key role in modern technology like smartphones, electric vehicles, power grids, and renewable energy systems.

Electrical engineering applications are incredibly diverse, ranging from power generation and distribution to consumer electronics and space exploration. Electrical engineers work in areas like power systems, electronics, control systems, telecommunications, and more.
Electrical energy has been accepted as the form of energy, which is clean and easy to transmit from one place to the other. All other forms of energy available in nature are, therefore, transformed into electrical energy and then transmitted to places where electricity is to be used for doing some work.

Electrical Energy is convenient and efficient for production of light, mechanical energy and is used in information processing. For the first two uses, it can be transported economically and in a clean fashion (as compared to transporting coal, for example) over long-distance lines to be available at the point of use. Electric energy also can transport information over tremendous distances, with or without wires, equally efficiently and economically. There is almost no competitor to electric energy in these fields. Electric energy does not occur naturally in usable form and must therefore be centrally generated and instantly transported to myriad points of use spread geographically over vast areas, even beyond state or national boundaries. It cannot be stored in large-enough quantities for any major use.
