Full Mackintosh: A Scottish Yarn

By Deb Kemper

August 1714: British slave raid, for boys, in Aberdeen, Scotland. A cunning merchantman captured young women, at market. Sold from an auction block, in Inverness, an Irish rabbi's daughter journeyed to a foreign, wild world completely unlike her verdant homeland.
In a rugged castle, in the midst of Badenoch, she met her master, the Laird of the Chattan.
Garth Mackintosh, laird, father of two daughters, and widower, purchased Amalie to save her from slavery. His daughters needed instruction, from an educated woman, while awaiting opportunity to return her to her family. He was ill prepared for the effect the auburn haired lass would have on all their lives.
