The flesh is a partner with an untamed lion. However, we can become one with Christ and be one with the Lion of Judah in boldness and with the gentleness of the Sacrificial Lamb. The Intentional development of The Fruit of the Spirit is not a natural internal automatic response. It is the Process of Regenerating our flesh under the power of the Holy Spirit. Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Spirit. Titus 3:5

That they all may be one; as you; Father, art In me, and I In you, that they also may be one with us: that the world may believe that you have sent me. John 17:21

Jesus is interceeding for us and asking the Father to make us one with him. You will know you are one with the Lord when you are full of the Fruit of the Spirit. But the Fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering (patient and kind), gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness (humility), temperance (self-control): against such things there is no law. Galatians 5:22

Responding with the fruit of the Spirit is our authentic self. Any lower emotions are part of our soulish/fleshly self that needs regenerated. Titus 3:5
Auto reset every response to the fruit of the Spirit: fear to love; anxiety to peace, depression to joy, pride to gentleness, rebellion to self-control, etc. This is not hyprocrisy. This is maturity and will serve us well.
The results of fiery trials will be wholeness, completeness and wanting nothing...
We will always feel the lower emotions, but will just not identify with them anymore. They will be our teachers not our destroyers.

Be Sober, be vigilant; because you're adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walks about, seeking whom he may devour. 1 Peter 5:8
