VERY WELL DONE!

This was a great resource for my recert because 1) I saw alot of material straight out of the exam, which was really reassuring; 2) I liked the diversity of questions, which were also reflected on the exam; 3) I was able to get thru all the practice questions (there's easily over a thousand) twice before my medicine boards since the explanations are straight to the point. I used the Q & A in conjunction with the Frontrunners Syllabus, reading a chapter out of the syllabus and then hitting that chapter in the Q & A, which was very successful for me.

NO-NONSENSE APPROACH. PASSED EASILY.

I liked this "set'em up and knock'em down" approach to Q & A. Explanations were straightforward and intelligible. I easily passed my Internal Medicine Boards using this with their frontrunners syllabus. I agree with the other reviewers: the syllabus was just as excellent.

LOVED IT #####

I thought the Q & A were right on target from both a content point of view as well as actual Q & A format for my internal medicine boards, although my friend says alot of people are using it for their step 3 as well. I saw tons of Q's on the exam that were right out of the book. I went through these Q & A in conjunction with the Frontrunners internal medicine board review syllabus, which had all the core material, and I passed easily. I actually got my copy for FREE when I ordered my syllabus through the publisher (866-MDBOARD). The last time I checked they were still offering this. Their syllabus is outstanding and you definitely gotta have it if you're tyring to pass the medicine boards.

I'M DEFINITELY RECOMMENDING...

I got a hold of the Frontrunners' Q & A review before my recert exam in Internal Medicine after my friend recommended it. I'm glad he did because I wasn't quite sure the best way to go. The Q & A in this book were very realistic and I alot of the same questions when I sat for my exam. Relative to the MKSAP and other Q & A sources I'd come across, this one gave me the chance to cover ALOT more questions in the same amount of time because the Q & A were highly representative in subject matter, yet much more succinct. Between my busy practice, rounds, and coming home to kids, etc, etc, I really needed something that would give me the highest yield for the study time I put in. So, I'd highly recommmend the book, and I hope my feedback helps.

Surprisingly realistic!

I liked this question and answer review alot. I own some of the other Q & A reviews of medicine, like Harrison's and Cecil's, but they've disappointed me over and over when it came time for the exam. I know that questions are the key to passing these types of exams. So I got hold of this book, and I had faith in it from the start because the style of questions is so realistic. On my exam, for example, I know there are always alot of "all except" type questions, and "next best step" type questions, and a bunch of matching. This book reflected that. Even more crucial, though, was that this Q & A review of medicine for the boards most closely approximated the CONTENT of the boards, and I should know. I had to take the exam 7 times!! So it was a real breath of fresh air to finally find a book like this. There's plenty of questions, over 1200 actually, and I hit them all before going into my exam, which was amazingly easy for once. So, I passed the exam, and recommended it some colleagues who are foreign medical grads who are also trying to pass their boards, and all of them went on to pass their exam as well, and continue to thank me every time I see them in the hospital. It's also got a really good index in the back, and I find myself constantly referring to it to look up the most poignant points on certain diseases in my patients, even though the exam is behind me at last. So, for sure, I would say I definitely LOVED this Q & A book because it was the only one that did the job, and I'm glad to have that exam over with. I can finally move on with my life!!
