This book does approach London from a different place than most travel books...makes it fun to read. We did several things suggested in the book. Worth the time to browse it before the trip.

Truly Irreverent - Just the way I like to travel!

This is one of the great travel guides for planning our trip to London. Where else can you locate the "Euro-Trashiest" hotel in London? It is chock full of information that I have been unable to find anywhere else. Although I may never need the gay/lesbian hotline for London, it's good to know it's there for other travellers. We were absolutely enthralled by the wealth of information on where to sleep, shop, eat, and entertain ourselves on any budget. It is the first time I can ever remember sitting down and reading a travel book for two-and-a-half hours straight. If you want to travel and get the true taste of your destination (instead of the cleaned-up tourist flavor), then the Irreverent Guides are for you!
