When her husband of 50 years died in 2012, Ann Lanier McDonald struggled, as most do who've just lost their spouse. It was a foreign world. With the urging of family and friends she visited a counselor who challenged her by saying, "You aren't who you were six months ago. Who do you want to be?" It wasn't a thought she wanted but one that she had to admit was a direction she had to go. She was already a writer, it seemed since birth. But her career as a wife and mother had been more important during those years. Now she was a widow. While she was still a mother, her children were successful adults with families of their own. This effort is her seventh book. It's about the three year journey with the help of God, to find her niche, learning to be a single woman. Hopefully her story can be helpful to others.
