The author, Angus Hunter, helps believers to better understand through scripture what God intended when he designed us as male and female. Mr. Hunter teaches how God's original intent was his desire that we would know we are loved by him. He also teaches that God desires that we have identity and security in who he designed us to be and that we were created to have purpose. This book offers clarity for those searching for answers on what our sexuality symbolizes. It is also an awesome study for those desiring more intimacy with Jesus.

Good book about how God loves and cares for His children as a mother and father care about their children. God is alll sufficient. God has within Himself the capacity and desire to nurture and love His children in a deep maternal way.

Finding Your Identity and Purpose by Responding to God's Love

Before I had finished the preface of Angus Hunter's book "From Venus to Mars and Back Again" I sensed I was in for an exciting life changing adventure in my personal spiritual journey. Dramatically influenced by the Leanne Payne's writing in "Crisis in Masculinity" and "Peralandra" by C. S. Lewis, Hunter has written a masterful study on human sexuality. He describes how God created and patterned man for initiation and woman for response as the highest expression of His image. Angus combines the beauty of biblical metaphors with the healing of its therapeutic touch. I was amazed at how the scriptures became clear to me as I allowed the Holy Spirit to open my spiritual eyes to the wonder and meaning of the selected passages cited throughout the manuscript. Sensitive to our emotional and spiritual nature, Angus give insight into the impact of God's redemptive plan to quell our fears and apprehensions through the unfolding mystery and revelation of our identity with Him. He reminds the reader that as we more fully understand our identity we can move on to enjoying intimacy with God the Father as we enter into His majestic presence and loving embrace. The practical "Something to Do" suggestions for reflection, prayer, and action make this a book you will want to pick up often to re-read, review, and assimilate. I am eagerly looking forward to reading more of the works of Angus N. Hunter.

This is my first opportunity to be introducted to Angus N. Hunter a man with quite a unique ministry history and with a personal aim to "Hear God's voice and follow Him, and teach others to do the same." Right off the bat we are taught that 'God's Initiative of Love + Our Response = Our Destiny in God'. Wow this is just excellent! This book by Angus is 'full' of support from the Bible for all he says and he begins with Ephesians 3:14-21. We learn newness to how and why we were born and how to grow and live and as he says...'rooted and established in God.' Are you starving for attention and control, as many are, or are your listening and hearing from our Lord to direct you life? Read about the bonsai tree in Chapter 13, and visualize as you read and re-read this book the focus on both men and women in this easily-readbable text.
