Kim Vogel Sawyer has been on my top favorite author list for years now. I have read every single one of her books and have been eagerly waiting for her newest release, From This Moment. She knows how to touch the readers heart and feel the Grace of God, while crafting a beautiful story. This one is no different. I adored Jase and Lori and was interested in what would happen to them throughout. I had the whole book read in one sitting.
From This Moment would get one hundred stars from me if it were possible. I highly recommend it for readers who enjoy reading faith filled Amish r0mance. It should not be missed.
I received an ebook copy of From This Moment from the publisher. This review is one hundred percent my own honest opinion.
Heartwarming romance
Published by Anne Rightler , 4 years ago
From This Moment is a heartwarming story by Kim Vogel Sawyer. As Jase begins his job as assistant pastor, he, Lori, and Kenzie form a strong bond of friendship. The author keeps the reader's attention as she brings each of the three young adults through difficult issues--death, not only of a fiancée but the dream of a future in missions, family relationships, self-image, and a desire to share the gospel with loved ones. The story is a good reminder that we may have plans but God directs our steps. The characters are realistic and relatable, people I'd like to know in real life. I enjoyed the mystery of the lost ring and then there are Kenzie's brownies which sound so yummy. Thank goodness the author included the recipe!! I'd love to have another book to find out more about what happens with the three friends. Readers who enjoy contemporary romance will not want to miss this one.
I received a complimentary book from Waterbrook and Multnomah Publishers and was not required to write a review. The opinions are my own.

From This Moment by Kim Vogel Sawyer
Jase Edgar is a lonely young man who has had the rug pulled out from under him, he's reeling from the death of his fiancee, a year earlier. They had planned to be missionaries and spread God's word. He has taken a new job as a youth pastor in Kansas, far from his home in Texas, hoping that the changes will help him recover from his sense of loss.
Lori Fowler works in a quilt shop and has recently moved out of her dad's home, she feels like her dad has verbally abused her for years, since her mom died. She has some very real emotional issues because of this.
Lori's friend Kenzie Stetler is slowly overcoming her early life in a strict Amish community in Indiana. She has chosen not to become a member of that church and is now independent, complete with her own apartment, a cell phone and a good job that she loves at the quilt shop, where she met Lori. She makes items in her spare time, to donate to missions, anonymously.
This is an original story, tugging at the heartstrings and infused with a lot of Christian virtues that are necessary to cope in this modern age. Since it's mostly about a teenage youth group, there is potential for a lot of learning by the reader. The book has made it onto my favorites shelf. It will bring great joy to read it again and again.
Many thanks to Waterbrook Multnomah and NetGalley for the complimentary copy, I was not obligated to leave a review. This is the first book from NetGalley that I've read, I felt a little forced into signing up, I really wanted to read the book and that is the only way that it was offered to me. Worked out the kinks over several days and ended up being an okay experience. Still would rather have a print book, but so many publishers aren't even offering that option for ARCs any longer.
