From the warehouse to the bar, from bulk to crates

The establishment, known today as Bar do Z , began life in 1977 as a dry goods store - selling food in bulk, such as beans, as well as pots and pans, thread and needles, candles, kerosene and everything a household needed. Today, the space is a bar selling drinks (beer, caipira, soda) and snacks, which brings together older customers and university students from all courses at the Federal University of Pelotas. The space is a place for interaction between the local community and students from other cities in the state and the country. Patrons enjoy leisure activities, meet friends, chat and discuss important issues or simply drink their beer. Bar do Z is an important space in the lives of many people, who always have a story to tell about this place
