It's the eighteenth century, and Crist bal Mar a de C rdoba sails to New Spain as part of the Spanish king's army. He convinces his new bride to journey to Spain for a time to beguile the Spanish king with her beauty and wit and win the land Crist bal so desperately desires. But while his wife is away, he is reunited with Mar a Dolores, and the two lovers pick up where they left off.
