Anna Somerset is a powerful performance poet. Her first poetry collection combines both the serious and humorous, seamlessly moving from powerful issues to the more personal and domestic, making the ordinary somehow extraordinary and the complex accessible. She manages to steer a course between high-brow and mundane with consummate ease. I can't recommend Anna's first collection enough.
