the reality of job scarcity; Kofi, an international student with
hopes of building a future in the UK; and Emma, who navigates
her mental health challenges while job hunting. As each
character grapples with the harsh realities of the job market,
they maintain a supportive group chat that keeps them
connected. The narrative explores their shared experiences,
including the frustration of feeling undervalued by a system
that actively recruits nurses from countries like Nigeria and
Ghana while failing to invest in their own graduates. They
attend job fairs, network with professionals, and even consider
moving abroad for opportunities, all while confronting the
mental strain of uncertainty. A turning point occurs when they
discover that some of their peers, who graduated later, are
being recruited by the NHS under mass recruitment drives in
Poland, intensifying their frustration. As they navigate these
challenges, the characters grow closer, sharing their highs and
lows, and ultimately deciding to advocate for change within the
system. By the end of the book, they realize the importance of
