When Earth's explorers located a planet, four light years from Earth. They named it ERDE, meaning Earth, but while enroute, to travel there, it took four years, at the speed of light.
An invasion by space pirates occurred, on Erde, the pirates were overcome, while delivery of the pirates, to another planet, the ship was commandeered by the pirates, after struggling, the pirates were subdued.
A space atmospheric anomaly occurred, which allowed the crew, to be able to create wormholes, and travel far distances, within minutes, with-in the Milk Way, and other galaxies.

Children from a planet are being beamed away, they're rescued, and a wedding takes place.
Megan the alien, ordered to ram her ship, into the Erde's battlewagon, instead, accidently enters tthe huge battlewagon.
Attempting to rescue the two crash scientists, after crashing, four years before, with dangerous, huge, and small flying animals; the two scientists, plus the rescue flyer, become stranded, for four years on the planet.
Most recently, they're rescued, along with the two hikers.
Saboteurs try to destroy the government facility. Indigenous people reveal themselves, never before seen, or located.
The illegal, exclusive resort is destroyed, by flying animals.
Four young scientists, invited to the fifth animal planet, become stranded, one is carried off, they survive.
The battlewagon opens a new wormhole, they emerge towards another adventure.
