When this book was written, there was nothing "out there" to comfort parents that had to deal with a rebellious child. I found all sorts of comfort books for parents dealing with the physical death of a child but could find nothing for a parent concerned with the spiritual death of their child. So we started researching. We looked and looked. We found a quote here and a story there. We put everything we could find into this book, that we felt would give peace and comfort to a grieving parent. We hope we have succeeded. Lately, we have felt that our book needed to be updated. There are so many more quotes and stories available now that were not there 15 years ago when this book was written. The Authors: Sharon Clonts and Janice Chalker

This book is about living and loving and accepting and allowing. It has benefit not only for parents of wayward children, but also for all who live in a world where expectations are not always met and where those we know occasionally hurt us. As I finished this book, I understood that I make assumptions about others, and that I will never know enough to make correct assumptions. I have an increased abiliity to make fewer judgments because of this book. I bought it; I read it; I loved it; I loaned it; and I lost it. I came looking for another copy, only to find it is out of print.
